Forrest Furnishings doors were opened in 1998 by owners Tom & Vicki McDonough.  The business is located on the family farm in Douds, Iowa.  Today, Tom and Vicki, with their children Mason and Brayden, all assist with the family business.

  Tom discovered a need for the rustic furniture while building log cabins.  After creating furnishings for these homes, he decided to tap into this market.

  Our specialty is the mantles and railings, but Forrest Furnishings will custom make a variety of furnishings.  Because we do not mass produce the furniture, we are allowed to display artistic talents with the freedom to build to the customer’s specifications and needs.

  Keep in mind, we custom make furniture.  Each piece of furniture is individually made from personally hand selected quality trees and wood.
